August 20th, 2009 Jakob started 3rd grade and Jaden entered into the world of 2nd grade. It has been quite an adjustment already and they haven't even made it through a full week yet. Jakob has more subjects this year and also stays an extra hour at school. That has been weird seeing Jaden show up at home without Jakob. Not sure I really like it, but next year they will both be doing that.

Oh yes Kari, you will like that extra hour. It comes in handy when the littler one has homework and you can knock it out and get it done before the bigger one gets home with thier backpack full of work. It gives you a little time to focus on each child coming home rather than having both bags thrown at you at once. I always think of it like a little head start with the little ones. I try to have jackson's work done before the others get home. that way at least one kid is done and all packed up for tomorrow.
The boys looked adorable. Jakob looked really thrilled you were taking his picture! All three of your little guys are so handsome!
Ang, I think Jakob was just trying to play it cool, he's in 3rd grade after all. :) About the head start, my boys are like zombie's when they get home from school. There little brains are like mush! I give them a snack and let them wind down a bit before we crack open the books again. :)
