Rainbows

Last week we had a beautiful rainbow that stretched across the whole sky! It was the most impressive thing. Jakob, Jaden and Jameson were very excited about seeing it. The pictures really don't even show just how awesome it was.

Prayers for McMuffin

Update: Baby Stellan is here and seems to be doing well. If you would like to follow his story just click on the button above and you can view their family blog. It is an inspiring story of how our God healed this little boy and brought him to full term. Stellan still needs prayer for his heart, but we are all just thrilled that he is here!

One of my very favorite blogs is that of a family who has nicknamed their family members for the sake of blogging. They have a sweet little boy coming into the world via c-section tomorrow with some heart problems and would like prayers. Please pray for Baby Stellan and feel free to stop by their family blog at mycharmingkids.blogspot.com. It is one of the best blogs and I spend a small part of my day checking in to see how things are going with their family! Please say a prayer for the family because of all the unknowns following his birth.

It's MONDAY!!!

I most certainly did not pass two buses in front of the school and go right on by their stop signs sticking out the side without noticing! The assistant principal DID NOT come up to my van and let me know all about it and warn me to be more careful the next time...in the nicest way possible! OOPS!!!!

I did not let my children eat carrot cake for breakfast! Nope not me!!!

Jameson is also NOT watching The Wiggles for the 3rd time already today and it's only 10am!!! That would just be crazy!

CHAOS

I have realized that I have CHAOS in my house. (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome) The clutter that has accumulated over the past few years is crazy. I like to blame it on my kids because of the toys and such, but really it is a bad habit of keeping junk that I am just as guilty of. I found an awesome website that I would like to share for anyone else out there who is living in my same CHAOS. www.flylady.com is a website that is designed for women to get themselves on track in all aspects. Please check it out and feel free to hold me accoutable to getting my house clutter-free and organized. I need all the encouragement I can get.

My goals are getting the paper clutter, toy clutter, and kid's clothes that are out of season or that they have out-grown under control. Just those 3 things would make a huge difference in how I view my home.

TUMS!

Well, I was cleaning my room this morning and went out the door to start some laundry. When I re-entered my bedroom I saw Jameson sitting on the floor with the Tums bottle. He was enjoying quite a few of them! He seems to be okay, and has his calcium intake for the rest of the month I am quite sure. All kidding aside, let me know if I should be concerned!

Our Weekend

It has been a while since I have posted anything so I thought I'd update our weekend. Matt and I traveled to Kansas City on Friday for a wedding. We dropped the kids off at my mom and dad's on Friday morning and headed on our way. They had a fabulous time going to a High School football game, going to a Corn Maze, riding bikes, and playing at Grammy & Grandpa's house. Matt and I spent a fun weekend with very good friends of ours, Wes, Amy, and their sweet little girl Kendall. Kendall is about 8-9 months older than Jameson so we enjoyed playing with her. She reminded us a lot of him. Friday, Matt and Wes golfed while Amy, Kendall and I relaxed and went for Ice Cream. Saturday was wedding day and everything was so beautiful! Sunday we headed home for some friends of ours wedding vow renewal. It was a very relaxing weekend that was long over-due. The last time we spent any length of time away from our kids was in April when Matt broke his leg and that was far from enjoyable! Monday was Columbus Day and the boys didn't have school so we took them to the park, driving range, they played football in the yard, then we went to Nana and Papaw's for dinner. Jaden and daddy went to the Air Traffic Control Tower on base for a tour as part of his Cub Scouts. Today life is back to normal. The boys are at school, daddy is back to work and Jameson is wondering where everyone is at.

Remembering

I just wanted to remind all those that might not know, October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss awareness month! This is very near and dear to my heart because I am a woman who has been through both of these painful experiences more times than I wish to count! Please keep the ones that are suffering during this time in your thoughts and prayers! We never forget, no matter how much time has passed. Our little ones are always missed.

Not Me Monday!!!

So it is officially Not Me Monday and boy do I have a story to share of something I totally DID NOT do. No way did I get busy doing my hair while my youngest son sat on his potty chair. Jakob and Jaden decided to go outside to do sidewalk chalk and of course I did not accidentally send my diaperless/pantless son outside to join them because that would be totally ridiculous!!!!

"Not Me Monday" can be very theraputic for mom's as we want to seem like we have it all together. We all have our many moments of imperfection!!! If you have a Not Me moment to share please leave your story in my comments.

he loves to laugh

Relaxing Saturday

Today has been the most relaxing day. The boys and I are at home with no place to go!!! It's wonderful. We run around like crazy people all week long so it's nice to finally have a day with no real schedule! Matt is golfing, but should be home soon. We played outside, played inside, and now the boys are napping/taking a rest! So I will join them.
